The FVISS often hire staff to support efforts towards minimizing the negative impacts of invasive species in the Fraser Valley. We are a small organization, as such, job opportunities will often cover a wide range of tasks and provide a variety of learning opportunities, with the potential of creating long-standing invasive species programs in the Fraser Valley.

1) Program Coordinator (Education and Outreach)
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to help share invasive species knowledge and contribute to invasive species management efforts throughout the Fraser Valley. This position will help develop, implement, and coordinate invasive species programs that encourage the prevention and management of invasive species. Programs that are developed will help shape invasive species management throughout the Fraser Valley for many years to come!
Start Date: As soon as April 17, 2023 (flexible)
Term: Permanent Full-time (32-35 hrs/week April-November; 24 hrs/week December-March)
2) Field Technician (May - August 2023)
We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented person to help conduct invasive species management field work and support management efforts throughout the Fraser Valley. This position will help complete invasive plant management field work, including on-the-ground efforts to survey, monitor, and map new or existing invasive plants and track ongoing management efforts.
Start Date: May 15, 2023
Term: Temporary Full-time (32-35 hrs/week) until September 4th, 2023. Extension possible on a part-time or casual basis until December 2023, if funding allows.
